I made a silly mistake setting up the Google Analytics account for this web site, and I only recently figured it out.

If you manage a web log here at GIDBlog, then you know you can view the stats for this site via Google Analytics. Anyway, for quite some time, there seemed to be no traffic to any of the blogs except one, at least according to the reports available at Google Analytics.

What happened was that I had somehow entered a include pattern filter — I guess I was trying to figure things out and forgot to remove the setting — which resulted in only stats to just one blog being reported, ignoring all others.

Since yesterday, I removed this ‘filter’ and from now on, the reports should be accurate.

Starting today, there is a Global / Master RSS Feed available for GIDBlog.com: http://gidblog.com/wpmu-feed/.

If you’d like to see what the other blog owners on GIDBlog are publishing these days, this feed will be the one to supply you that information. > more <

Early this morning, I moved this web site here (gidblog.com) after running it for a few days at gidhelp.com.

The reason for the test site is because I had to find out if the script that powers this web site, WordPress MU, is really what I assumed it to be — and it is!

The test site also allowed me to figure out a few things about making this site work better. Some of these include additional themes for you (blog owners) to personalise your blog sites, and maybe a couple of custom scripts, aka plugins, to simplify the things you can add to your sidebar. A sidebar widget plugin is discussed here.

A lot of things for me to add to this site over the next few days, weeks, and months. I look forward to this, as I hope you do too.
