Revenue Sharing Option: AuctionAds

If you log into your dashboard here, you will find a new option under Options > Revenue Share.

AuctionAds.com is a simple advertising network that displays text ads of live eBay auctions. Although they claim: “We place auction ads targeted to your content on your site” on their site, it is not accurate. They should have replaced the words content on your site, with keywords. You, the publisher, will have to select/submit the keywords that ensure the advertisements match your content.

Since it’s always wise to try new and different things, I decided to include their advertisements here. We’ll see how it goes - besides, I like the look of their ad units.

This is a neat addition. Since I’m a big EBay fan this one sounds interesting to me. Once we can get the keywords applied I’m curious to see the type of ads that show up.

A few things. When the blog owner sees ads in their blog are they safe to be selected? By that, I mean, do the ads take into account a logged in person?

No, I have not ‘disabled’ the ads for blog owners viewing their own pages yet. Although, I have been thinking about it for the last few days. Eventually, I will probably get this done, it’s definitely useful.

By the way, I wrote to AuctionAds today asking them for a test ID I can use to ‘disable’ their ads (for blog owners). I haven’t received a reply yet.
